Called in to rescue a Hayes Barton home remodel after another contractor left crowning across the white oak from wet sanding, hidden water damage, and a finish that marked and scratched under normal living. Boards replaced, crowning corrected with a full sand, custom Weathered Oak stain blend applied and topped with Bona Traffic HD.

A custom Pallmann Magic Oil blend was developed on-site and cut into the floor as samples before full application. The result is a buttery, open-grained hardwax oil finish that brings out the depth and ray fleck of wide-plank white oak.

After the cabinet and damaged flooring were removed and the subfloor fully dried, we laced in new 3 1/8" Brazilian oak on both sides of the repair. The entire floor was then refinished with a custom Bona stain color, Bona Intense Seal, and Bona Traffic HD.
