Modern laminate products closely replicate the appearance of hardwood at a lower cost per square foot. A strong option for bedrooms, offices, and secondary living spaces.
Durable wear layer.
Laminate wear layers are rated in AC classes. Higher AC ratings offer greater scratch and abrasion resistance. We recommend the right product for your traffic level and lifestyle.
Floating installation.
Because laminate floats over the subfloor, it can be installed over many existing surfaces without full demolition. It also moves independently with seasonal humidity changes.
Low maintenance.
Laminate is easy to clean and does not require the periodic recoating or refinishing that hardwood needs. Sweeping, vacuuming, and occasional damp mopping are sufficient.

Our Installation Process
Free In-Home Estimate
We measure the space, assess the subfloor, perform moisture testing, and discuss product options within your budget. You receive a written estimate covering materials, labor, and any subfloor prep required.
Subfloor Preparation
High spots are ground down and low spots are filled to achieve the required flatness tolerance. A moisture barrier is installed on concrete subfloors or where moisture readings require it.
Underlayment Installation
Appropriate underlayment is installed for sound absorption, cushion, and moisture protection. Some laminate products include attached underlayment; others require a separate layer.
Layout Planning
We plan the plank direction and layout to minimize waste, balance cuts at walls, and handle transitions between rooms cleanly.
Installation
Planks are clicked together in courses across the room, maintaining the required expansion gap at all walls and fixed vertical surfaces throughout the installation.
Transitions, Trim, and Final Inspection
Transition strips, thresholds, and base molding are installed to finish the perimeter. We inspect the entire installation before we leave.

Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic product with a wood-fiber core, a photographic image layer that replicates wood or stone, and a protective wear layer on top. It is more affordable than hardwood and easier to install, but it cannot be sanded or refinished and is not suitable for wet areas.
Laminate is suitable for above-grade living areas including bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, and hallways. It is not recommended for bathrooms, laundry rooms, or basements due to moisture sensitivity. For wet areas, LVP is the better choice.
Laminate is installed as a floating floor using a click-lock system. The planks connect together and float over an underlayment rather than being fastened to the subfloor. Expansion gaps are maintained at all walls and fixed vertical surfaces to allow for seasonal movement.
Yes. Moisture testing is performed on every job. Laminate has a wood-fiber core that is sensitive to sustained moisture exposure. Identifying and addressing any moisture issues before installation prevents premature failure.
The subfloor should be flat to within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. High spots and low spots outside this tolerance can cause planks to flex, creak, or come unclipped over time. We correct subfloor flatness issues before any flooring is installed.
In some cases, laminate can be installed over a sound, flat existing floor. The key factors are height transitions, door clearances, and the condition of the existing surface. We assess the existing floor during the free estimate.
Most residential laminate projects are completed in one to two days depending on the square footage, room count, and subfloor prep required. We provide a specific timeline with the written estimate.
